The following terms and conditions govern all reservations made with Elysian Hills Heritage Bungalow, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. By confirming a reservation you acknowledge and agree to these conditions in full.

Rates & Taxes
Net, Non-Commissionable Rates
All published rates are net and non-commissionable. They will be converted to Sri Lankan Rupees (SLR) at the official government exchange rates prevailing at the time of transaction or payment.
VAT Exemption
The above rates are exclusive of VAT. The company is not liable for Value Added Tax under current applicable regulations. In the event that VAT becomes applicable due to changes in legislation or tax liability status, such charges will be borne by the client.
Government Tax Adjustments
Should there be any increase in government taxes, levies, or other statutory charges after the issuance of this agreement, the increased amounts shall be automatically added to the above rates and the client will be liable for such adjustments.
Currency Conversion
Conversion of any payment into Sri Lankan Rupees will be done at the official government-stipulated exchange rates prevailing at the time of transaction. The company assumes no responsibility for exchange rate fluctuations or losses arising from such conversions.
Client Tax Obligations
The company is not responsible for any tax-related implications that may arise for the client from changes in local or international tax laws. It is the client's responsibility to ensure compliance with their respective tax obligations.
Rates & Pricing
Rates Subject to Change
All published rates are indicative and may be revised at any time without prior notice. The rate applicable at the time of booking confirmation shall govern the reservation.
Taxes & Service Charges
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, published rates exclude applicable government taxes, levies, and service charges. Any such charges will be itemised separately at the time of billing.
Accepted Currencies
Payments are accepted in United States Dollars (USD), Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR), and Euros (EUR). Conversion of foreign currency payments to LKR will be processed at the official government-stipulated exchange rate prevailing at the time of transaction.
Promotional Rates
Promotional and discounted rates are subject to specific terms, blackout dates, and availability conditions as stated at the time of the offer. Promotional rates cannot be combined with other offers unless expressly permitted.
Cancellation Policy
Written Notice Requirement
All cancellations must be submitted in writing and received no later than three (03) weeks — twenty-one (21) days — prior to the scheduled arrival date.
Late Cancellation Fee
In the event of cancellation within twenty-one (21) days of the arrival date, a cancellation fee equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the total booking amount shall be applied.
No-Show Policy
Failure to cancel and/or failure to arrive on the scheduled date ("No Show") will result in a charge of one hundred percent (100%) of the total booking amount.
Reservations
Confirmation Process
All reservation details must be sent via email directly to the hotel in order to hold the room on a confirmed basis. A reservation is not considered confirmed until written acknowledgement is received from the hotel.

Occupancy Policy
Maximum Guests Per Room
Each room has a defined maximum occupancy. Superior Rooms and The Tea Master Chamber accommodate a maximum of two (2) guests. The Governor's Suite accommodates a maximum of two (2) adults with the option of one (1) additional guest as a triple occupancy only — maximum three (3) guests total.
Additional Guest Charges
Guests exceeding the standard double occupancy (where permitted) will be charged at the applicable triple rate as published in the rate schedule. No additional guests beyond the maximum occupancy limit will be accommodated under any circumstances.
Full Villa Buyout
An exclusive full villa buyout accommodates a maximum of eleven (11) guests including children across all five rooms. Buyout rates are as per the published schedule and are on a Room Only basis.
Child Policy
Age Definitions
Children are classified as follows: Infants — 0 to 4 years; Children — 5 to 12 years; Adults — 13 years and above.
Complimentary Stays
Infants (0–4 years) sharing an existing bed with parents or guardians stay complimentary with no extra bed required. Children (5–12 years) sharing an existing bed stay complimentary with no additional room charge.
Extra Bed Charges
An extra bed, where available, is subject to an additional nightly charge. Extra beds are available in The Governor's Suite only, subject to prior request and availability at time of booking.
Meal Charges for Children
Meal charges apply to all guests regardless of age. Breakfast is US$ 10, Lunch is US$ 15, and Dinner is US$ 15 per person per meal. Children 5 years and above are charged at the standard meal rate.
Liability Disclaimer
Personal Belongings
Elysian Hills Heritage Bungalow accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of guests' personal belongings, clothing, or other items left unattended anywhere on the property.
Valuables
Guests are strongly advised to use the in-room safe or request secure storage from management for cash, jewellery, passports, and other valuables. The property shall not be held responsible for loss or theft of valuables not secured through these means.
Vehicles
Vehicles parked on or around the property are left entirely at the owner's risk. The property accepts no responsibility for damage, theft, or loss relating to any vehicle, regardless of whether parking was arranged by the property.
Activities & Excursions
Any activities, tours, or excursions arranged independently or through the property are undertaken at the guest's own risk. The property shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in such activities.
Natural Events & Weather Conditions
The property accepts no liability for disruption, loss, or injury caused by natural events including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, flooding, landslides, or other acts of nature beyond the property's reasonable control.
Check-in & Check-out Policy
Check-in Time
Standard check-in is from 2:00 PM (14:00). Guests are welcome to arrive earlier and leave luggage at the property; rooms will be made available as soon as they are ready.
Check-out Time
Standard check-out is by 11:00 AM. Guests are kindly requested to vacate the room by this time to allow preparation for incoming guests.
Early Check-in
Early check-in before 2:00 PM is subject to room availability and must be requested in advance. Early check-in may be granted complimentarily or at an additional charge at the discretion of the management.
Late Check-out
Late check-out beyond 11:00 AM is subject to availability and must be requested no later than the evening prior. Late check-out may be accommodated complimentarily until 1:00 PM or charged at a half-day rate thereafter, at management discretion.
Identification Requirements
All guests are required to present a valid government-issued photo identification at check-in. Acceptable documents include a valid passport, national identity card, or driving licence. The hotel reserves the right to decline check-in if valid identification cannot be produced.
